Curfew lifted from four districts of Kashmir after tensed period

The curfew has been lifted on Saturday from four districts of Kashmir Valley in order to facilitate the re-opening of the schools in these districts considering the improved situation in these areas.

These districts are Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam and Ganderbal districts, however, it remained in force in Anantnag, Kulgam, Kupwara, Pulwama and Shopian districts of the valley and eight police station areas of the city.

According to an official, restrictions on an assembly of four or more people under Section 144 CrPC will continue in the areas where curfew has been lifted. The situation in Kashmir valley grew tense since July 9 following the attack of the Hizbul commander Burhan Bani.
