Four killed, nine injured in a building collapse in Darjeeling

In a yet another tragic incident, four people were killed and nine injured when a three-storey building collapsed in the Zakir Hussain slum area in Darjeeling, late Friday night at around 10:30 pm. Immediately, the fire brigade along with the army and district officials rushed to the spot and initiated the rescue operation.

As many as 10 people were pulled out of the rubble of which, four were declared dead and six were admitted to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Of the ones rescued, was a two-year-old baby.
The search and the rescue operation is on.
