India has registered their biggest innings victory outside Asia, and their first in the Caribbean. The Indian team cruised past West Indies in the 1st Test by an innings and 92 runs in four days at Antigua. The batsmen have sparkled in the first innings of the test putting up 566 for 8 before declaring, and fast bowlers came to party in the second but it was the spinners that shone in the third and final innings of the game.
Virat Kohli has lead the team with his maiden double test century whereas Ashwin was at his supreme best, showcasing his batting skills with a century and picking up crucial wickets along the way. Ashwin has been named Man of the Match for his incredible feat. The second test is scheduled to be played at Kingston, Jamaica from 30th July.
