Environment minister asks tourists across globe to visit India to see Tiger

On the occasion of International Tiger Day, Environment Minister Anil Madhav Dave has requested tourists from across the world to come to India to see the Tiger. Speaking at a special function at a function in the capital, the minister has expressed hope that India will be able to double the population of its Tigers by 2022 by conserving and caring for the Tigers.
The Minister has also administered a pledge for tiger conservation to the gathering of students. Dave later flagged off the ‘Walk for Tiger’. India has 2, 226 Tigers, which constitutes 70% of the population of Tigers the world over.
