Typhoon Nida moves Southern China after sweeping Hong Kong

Typhoon Nida has finally made its landfall on Tuesday today, the impact has been so strong that typhoon swept through Hong Kong shutting down most of the financial hub and disrupting hundreds of flights. Typhoon Nida has brought gusts of more than 100 km per hour (62 mph. Streets have been deserted and shops remained closed since Monday. Over 150 flights have been canceled. Thousands of passengers were stranded at the airport and about 325 flights are expected to be rescheduled. The situation is under control now but warning of cyclone is still in place. After making landfall near Hong Kong, the typhoon was expected to churn across the manufacturing centre of Guangdong province, gradually weakening as it moved into the neighbouring Guangxi region.
