Taj Mahal city Agra gets an international airport

Every time the election year bring a bonanza for citizens. As the UP assembly elections are inching closer Akhilesh Yadav government is in its topspin to clear all pending projects. The city of Taj Mahal Agra will now boast of an international airport. The Defence Ministry, which controls the lone Air Force airport in the Taj city, has cleared a proposal over the weekend to expand it to an international airport.

After 70 years ofIndependence, tourists heading for India’s most sought after destination, Taj Mahal, won’t have to necessarily land in Delhi and make the 200 km journey by road or rail. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced that it would provide 150 acres of land and even foot the bill for the expansion.
