It wasn’t long ago when Sri Lanka had been fighting a war against the mosquito-borne disease, Malaria. But now, the island nation has achieved the amazing feat of being declared malaria-free by the World Health Organisation.

Interestingly, Sri Lanka is a country which receives four times as much rainfall as received by India.
