The World Health Organization has released the list for the world’s deadliest country for air pollution and China topped the chart.
The UN agency has previously warned that tiny particulates from power plants, factories, cars and other sources are killing three million people worldwide each year.
This is the first time the WHO has issued a list which has broken down the figure to a country by country level.
One million people died from air pollution in China, at least 600,000 in India and more than 140,000 in Russia.
