The Supreme Court has cancelled the bail of RJD leader Mohammad Shahabuddin in the Rajiv Roshan murder case. The gangster will now have to return to jail. The apex court in its ruling has asked Shahabuddin to immediately surrender. The court has also asked the state government to expedite the trial process of the infamous 2004 murder case. A petition challenging the grant of bail to the controversial leader was filed by Chandrakeshwar Prasad whose three sons, the third one being Rajiv Roshan were allegedly killed on the orders of Shahabuddin .
The RJD leader who is accused in over 40 cases of murder, extortion and kidnapping was released on September 10 after having spent 11 years in jail.
