Arjun Vajpai, a twenty-three-year-old professional mountaineer from Noida scaled the world’s sixth highest mountain Cho Oyu. Vajpai along with his two Sherpa’s reached the summit before dawn after a 7-hour, all night climb through rocky steps.

Arjun became the youngest in the world to summit Cho Oyu. The mountain stands on the China-Nepal border about 20km of the Khumbu sub-section of the Mahalangur Himalaya.

The twenty-year-old has climbed five of the 14 highest mountains in the world that tower over 8,000m, including MT Everest, Mt Manaslu, Mt Makalu and Mt Lhotse.
