The Supreme Court passed an interim order on the BCCI vs. Lodha Panel case, directing the cricket board not to provide any more funds to the state associations before they implement the Lodha reforms.
The apex court made it clear that in case the state associations need funds, they will have to pass a resolution that they will comply with Lodha recommendations.
The top court observed that the money which has already been given, the state affiliates cannot use it until they agree to implement the reforms.
BCCI president Anurag Thakur has been asked to file an affidavit and the matter has been listed for October 17th.
In response, BCCI said they are not running away from reforms but there are certain technical and legal issues which they will address and tell SC on October 17.
