Sensex plunges 400 points

On Thursday today, the BSE Sensex has plunged further to 402.40 points, or 1.43%, to 27,679.94, while the Nifty is trading lower by 127 points, or 1.46%, to 8,580.10. Earlier in the day, markets had opened with sensex falling 265 points. Oil & Natural Gas Corp Ltd is up 2.6% to Rs274.55. Banking stocks are trading lower. Indusind Bank is up 1.3% to Rs1,237.35 after the bank reported 26% increase in its second quarter net profit on higher interest income and stable asset quality. Among slump, oil equipment companies are trading higher on the back of higher volumes. The China export data has disappointed investors resulting into asian stocks trading lower on Thursday.
