IPL is a massive tournament in terms of coverage and money involved, recently BCCI disclosed a stunning figure in regards to the valuation of the league and according to their 2015-16 annual report the tournament is worth 4.5 billion dollars.
Naturally, everyone wants a piece of IPL and micro-blogging site Twitter is bidding for the digital rights for the league, joining a cluster of corporate heavyweights from broadcasters to telecom behemoths.
Twitter is not new to such partnership, currently they are working with NFL, where fans can get to tnf.twitter.com to watch Thursday Night Football live for free and participate in a real-time conversation.
Twitter and sports together is an interesting combination but they have to battle it out with the likes of Amazon, Reliance Jio for the digital rights.
