UAE govt seizes Don Dawood Ibrahim’s assets worth Rs 15,000 cr

The United Arabs Emirates have seized properties that belonged to non-other than underworld don and crime lord Dawood Ibrahim. According to reports, UAE government has seized assets worth Rs 15,000 crore. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval reportedly pursued the matter with UAE and requested the officials to act and seize Dawood’s property.
Dawood is wanted in India for the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai in which 257 people were killed and nearly a thousand injured. He is also accused of masterminding other terror attacks and of money laundering and extortion.
The United States had already designated underworld don Dawood Ibrahim as a global terrorist having links with Al Qaeda and financing activities of Lashkar-e-Taliba and other terrorist organisations.
