India has always maintained a cordial relationship with its neighbours, be it Nepal or even Pakistan, providing help and support when required, and now when the nation is facing cash crunch due to PM Modi’s demonetisation drive, the Reserve Bank of India has agreed to provide Rs 1 billion to the Nepal Rastra Bank after its request that the country was facing a shortage of INR 100 denomination banknotes.
Nepalese have been facing hardship in obtaining Indian currency of Rs 100 denomination as the two countries have an open border and visa-free policy and Indian currency are widely used. Nepalese citizens travelling to India for medical treatment, students studying in Indian universities, traders and people living in border areas have been hit hardest.
The demonetisation drive is yet to get normalised in India, with the common man still facing problems. What do you guys thinks? Is this the right move? Have your say in the comment section below.
