US president-elect Donald Trump has reportedly cancelled talks over possible projects in India , Brazil and Argentina. Donald Trump will assume office in about two weeks and conflict of interest between his presidency and business continues to be raised.

Donald Trump has had an Indian business connection for some years now. Trump had first entered India in 2011 when he signed an agreement with Rohan Lifescapes for his uber-luxury project in Hughes Road in south Mumbai. However, the deal fell through due to regulatory issues. The Trump organization had then tied up with the Lodha group in Mumbai in 2013 and with Panchsheel group in Pune in 2014 for two luxury residential projects that have been marketed as signature Trump Towers.
India has been the second largest market for Trump and his family’s real estate firm, outside of North America.
