Sensex trading flat; Sun Pharma, Infosys, Tata Motors shares up

The Sensex and Nifty trimmed their initial gains and have been trading flat due to fresh selling in FMCG, bank and capital goods stocks amid firm global cues. Among BSE sectoral indices, realty index gained the most by 1.82 per cent, followed by IT, TECk and healthcare. On the other hand, FMCG index is down alongwith banking 0.23 per cent and capital goods 0.06 per cent. Top five Sensex gainers are Sun Pharma, Infosys, Tata Motors, GAIL and Maruti while the major losers were ICICI Bank, ITC, Adani Ports, Dr Reddy’s and Coal India (-0.94%). The rupee depreciated 7 paise to 66.97 against the US dollar.
